Trans Hex’s exploration expertise as well as the ability to achieve lower operating costs at its managed operations enables the group to identify suitably appropriate new business opportunities in South Africa and elsewhere in Africa and we continue to review several potential new business ventures. The group will continue to focus on cost improvement initiatives at its South African operations whilst in Angola the focus will be on the successful implementation of the group’s Angolan recovery plan, which will, in the short term, focus on ensuring that operational responsibility for Fucauma ensures that Trans Hex’s considerable alluvial diamond-mining expertise is fully utilised at the operation.
